Can you creat message system ? i think thats more elegant for this script

I think we should add a tool tip for the Create Topic button.

When I receive updates from codeforum I can see emails of all the users who are subscribed to the updates.

I think there are people who don't want their email to be exposed in this way. Can it be changed? I think it should be possible to hide all the receivers.

If I use URL rewriting, smileys are not shown.

The url that the forum tries to use is /index.php?u=/sites/default/assets/img/smileys/smile.gif instead of /sites/default/assets/img/smileys/smile.gifwhich causes the smile not to appear.

I tried to update to the newest version today. I didn't seem to complete successfully (as you can see in another post here), but the codebase did get updated.

What I noticed

• I had localization configured for Russian. Now it's rewritten the configuration and it shows English
• The social login stopped working. I tried to log in with Google, it wasn't successful. Here's what Google says now:

Is there any way to disable image upload? I'm running my codoforum instance on a shared hosting and I don't have lots of hard disk space. This is why I'd like to disable user uploads and instead have a window where users can put image URLs to external websites.

Would it be possible to make it configurable? I don't really want to change the code myself because it would be very hard to maintain with updates.

I recently enabled the URL rewriting feature, and it broke Google login (Twitter and Facebook remained working)

The issue was that Google notices the redirect and rejects the login. So I propose to add a line or two about this in documentation.

Something along the lines of

... if URL rewriting is enabled, the redirect URL should be http://MY_FORUM.com/uni_login/authorize?hauth.done=Google ...

And I also suspect Google regenerates the secret code when you change the redirect URL, because I had to change the hybridauth config to make it work again.

I like the new "pages" feature: it's really nice. What I though would also be nice is to allow users to create such pages using markdown.

This could be named "articles" and everybody can create article about something. There could be FAQs, links, just longer post answers that would make an article rather than a post. So basically it can be just usual posts but presented slightly differently

If such articles can also be changed by the community and we'll allow interlinks in wiki-like way, than it would be a step towards creating some knowledge base for the forum users.

I'm currently trying to setup Friechat with 3rd party software, and I would like a little assistance getting one thing setup. If am able to get this to work, then ill most likely be purchasing this software. The program I am using uses cookies primarily for the login... and I just can't get it to set the userid properly.

I've tried multiple times to paste the login.php code but apparently this forum doesn't like it.

I just installed it and I like it very much!

However I'm having troubles with uploading avatars. I can upload an image and it works fine for a while, but when I go to my profile page or logout, it resets to the default one: in my case it's "S" on some background.

Also, if I keep refreshing my account page, I notice that my default avatar with "S" changes the background. I'm assuming it's again being reset for no reason.

I wasn't able to reproduce the issue on this forum instance (i.e. on http://codologic.com/forum/)

I've found Codoforum and had to try it. But I've encountered two errors so far.

First one appeared while the setup process. When it tried to connect to the database after I enter the data it told me that the database test could not be found. Actually I didn't touch the default value of codoforum. It worked with a second try however.

Second error occurs everytime I delete a category. It says:

After I re-open the control panel the category is successfully removed however.

Edit: Forgot to mention.. I'm using PHP 5.5.12 and MariaDB 5.5.39

There are a few issues with the mobile/responsive version of CF I would like to talk about.

First, the mobile CF doesn't use the whole screen. You know, the mobile devices have small screens, and not using all this small space is a bit of a problem and it looks not that good. The forum have to expand and use every valuable pixel.

Second, the categories have to be removed from the frontpage (mobile only). Imagine you have a forum with hundreds of categories and the user has to scroll.....scroll....and scroll....and than can see the recent topics. The categories could go into that menu button on the NavBar.

Third, the topic title, when you are inside the topic is there twice. First on the linktree and than again on the top of the topic. I think, when you are inside the topic you don't need to click the title of the topic again. It makes no sense and takes again valuable space.

And, that search bar is ugly. Codoforum is a beautiful forum, but the search bar is a no-go. It is ugly and takes a lot of space. It have to be replaced with a nice buton or a small search field on the top. Right into the NavBar. Like the modern websites do now.

PS: An autosave thing is very welcome here. I closed the tab when writing the post and had to write it again. ;)
