I'm trying to integrate Forum login to our main site login. Goal is to allow users to sync Forum to main site. If while logged in to main site in Settings, if the user is detected as logged in to the Forum, they are presented option (checkbox) to sync to Forum. Once synced, when they login to main site, they are then automatically logged in to the forum. I thought it was simple as creating a Session ID which is added to the codo_sessions database table sid column (although not populating session_data column since not sure how to construct), and creating the two cookies: PHPSESSID which contains the same Session ID, and userid which contains the User Forum ID. Not working. Hints or suggestions?

I just installed codoforum in a server and noticed that neither the battledark or the 2k18 theme show as in the thumbnail. For example, the categories bar is on the right, the icons of the sections don't appear...

I have noticed that it looks the same as this forum so at first I thought it might be a problem of my browser. However, other codoforum based forums look alright.

Any hints on this? 5a2bf8853a431

At the moment this forum doesn't look very engaging when visited on a mobile phone smile the previous/next buttons and the 1,2.3... menus dominate the screen even though they will get little use (maybe have a fly out? "Create New Topic should be visible to logged out users to engage....

Category menu REALLY needs to be at the top, along with search, mail, login or join icons also visibly at the top.

Adding images and video needs to be more obvious with clear icons (my forum has 5,000 members and they hardly ever add any media but those same people do onto FB groups).

At the moment the latest version isn't mobile user friendly so I won't update smile

I asked this almost a year ago, didn't get a great response, and I am asking again now.

This software supposedly has FB/Twitter login support, but, I've done a Google search for "Powered by Codoforum" to find forums out there that are using it. To a T, every site falls into two categories:

  1. Does not allow FB/Twitter login (and even this board falls under that)
  2. If they do have the buttons for it, EVERY site I've visited when you click it shows either... "Missing provider application credentials.", or, following getting the Facebook "do you want to allow this site", then I get "Authentication failed. The user has canceled the authentication or the provider refused the connection."

Obviously, some don't want that feature, that is great. I also get that if people don't get their credentials set correctly, #2 is going to happen. I get that.

I've heard the spiel back from CL "It's free, so, why not download it and try it". But, if this TRULY has FB/Twitter login support, I would assume there should be at least ONE "known" website out there that is using it successfully. I don't want to spend hours on something that literally NOBODY ELSE from what I've seen so far has gotten to work.

I like a lot of other things about the board (Responsive layout, primarily tags instead of "forum sections" to define posts), but, FB/Twitter login is a big one we want to move towards.

Admin, new member badges etc would be a good feature(like FB group posts) on posts and comments, the "new members badge could be timed for say 2 or 4 weeks from joining with controls in the admin panel then would change to established member or a similar term?

And also posts could be labelled as 1st posts?

Hi,

I want to use codoforum in my company to store files in differents boards but I realize that uploaded files are automatically renamed to something like this : 59bbe6028f8a5.pdf

Is it possible to keep the original filename for all uploaded file? or maybe develop a plugin which will manage file upload for each posts ? Or is it all in codoforum official developper's hands?

Can someone give me some ideas for reflection? It's an important point that will reveal if codoforum is adapted to our company or not.

I successfully installed Codologic, and also successfully integrated it with my website using the SSO plugin. My main problem is it is very slow to load pages, so slow that it would be unusable in a production environment. My computer is not that old or slow, not new, but not ancient, so are there ways to optimize Codologic to run a little faster?

I found a little problem with font colors in theme customization.

there is no color for default text, and in theme battledark, user menu options and text in codo_switch is set to default color, and default color is not set anywhere! it result color as #333, unreadable on any background.

is it possible to set the default color somewhere ( in colors.less would be perfect) or do we have to modify by hand sites/default/themes/default/less/general.less each time we upgrade ?

thanks

Okay so I have been looking at this code for over a course of say... one or two weeks. The website I develop for is moving along slowly as there are only 2 developers, and I was recently asked to use Codo. I get how Codo works, I do, and I have everything set up EXCEPT SSO. I saw on another forum that USER_LOGGED_IN should be set to session or some other form of saving a user's information. The site's header that uses Codo stores data in a cookie at this time and doesn't rely on a Session. Is there a way to call information from something of that nature (cookies)?

The following image is me considering a solution that a user has already received. However, if possible, I would like to refrain from using Session at this time as I am working on other content on site.
