Hey there, im new to codoforum and I have to tell you already I LOVE it. But there is a couple bugs that are kinda ruining the experience. I am currently using version 3.2. Version 3.2.1 is where I experienced the bugs. The first bug was, anytime I did a search result nothing would return it just would continuously load non stop; and when it did return something it was just a message that it didn't find any topics matching my search.
Also another bummer was the codopm I have realized it dosent work in the current version I am using. I am not for sure if you guys are working on getting that fixed or I'm just out of luck with that plugin?

Again great product guys just these few bugs are sorta ruining the experience.

When I am trying to install CODO FORUM in localhost its showing below mentioned error.

I start using your forum in my project and want to make some upgrade for my site based on your forum.

So i make a page with some title. also there is nice place where to post SEO friendly link, BUT I cant access my site with this URL. so basically its showing the the page is access with link mysite.com/page/my-own-made-page

But only way to pen page is only with this kind of link mysite.com/index.php?u=/page/6/my-own-made-page

So i can't use this link because it's not working

It would be nice if i can access site with the given adders mysite.com/page/my-own-made-page..

I don't know maybe i do something wrong.

Also it would be really COOL if we have possibility to use PHP when creating sites. Then i don't need to make plugin only for one page.

I changed the icon for the chat tab. But now i want to remove the generated chat room text from it so it just shows the new icon. Which file would i find that in?

Love the software but there is 1 thing i think would improve it, having sticky posts (posts that can be set by admins to stay at the top of listings for a category, such as rules for the category.)

The chat rooms appear to be working normally till another user logs in to the site. At that point the text box and message display gray out and you cant read messages or type in the box. when no one is on the site it goes back to normal. has this happened to anyone before and if so what is the fix? also is it possible to set the chatrooms to be open on load load, apparently people are saying its

Hi there, recently decided to install codoforum once again, but I've got some issues.

I can't see the actual forum http://qlixhost.dk/forum/ but the admin panel is working http://qlixhost.dk/forum/admin/

I unblocked the zip before unzipping the contents.

Any ideas?

I installed FreiChat, integrated with my user list and it seems everything is ok, but when I type the message and press enter it goes to the next line and don't send the message.
In my console I have the error message: TypeError: FreiChat.groupchat is undefined
The chat room is working good with the users logged in.

hi, l try use you forum. But when l take search this process start and never ending. Very long time load results of search. And that in time when I heave only few posts. I things that something dont works good. And is any news about codoPM and cyrillic symbols?

I noticed that during the usage of videochat, there are requests being done to the server. So not only before making the connection, but also during. GET and POST requests, each 3 seconds. This is fine. However, I wanted to check if this is normal behaviour (because of performance).

I m trying Freichat with joomla integration for a website I m building.The installation was ok and everything worked out of the box. I have a question , how can I display offline users in the chatbox? For example, Now I see online users with a green dot on the right of their name, can I do the same for offline users but -let's say- with a red dot? Space wont be a problem because I intend to use it only for registered users (max 150 people) so the small div will not be a problem.
Is that possible?

I like a lot freichat, but our team don't like the behaviour to have a tab to display chat rooms, and wants instead to embed directly on a page.

Okay so i didnt want to post two different post even though each of my questions would benefit from its own post.

First question/inquiry Dashes on usernames....currently only Letters/Digits/Underscores are allowed on usernames...where can i allow Dashes (ex. DAL123-Joe Doe) to be used on usernames.

Second question....currently if there is a category that is not intended for certain users its still visible... though the topics are not visible the category is.

I take it as it hasnt made it to any of the releases soo...

Is there any way we can have this setting...this setting will be the same as how you display certain blocks (ex. who can see this block...guest,user,admins etc...)

As I understand, the user's status is set to 'Busy', automatically after a certain period of non-activity (setting in backend- Additional). If this status has been changed to 'Busy' by this process, and I move my mouse, the status changes back to 'Available'.

If I manually chose for the status 'Busy', and I move my mouse, the status does not change back to 'Available' automatically, I need to manually change it back myself.

I don't know if the following is possible. It would be however, a great way of saving bandwidth and server resources. Without losing (in my case) too much of the functionality.

I would like the status to turn to 'Busy' after a certain period, as given in the backend (let's say 15 minutes). However, the status remains 'Busy' when the mouse moves. And it turns back to 'Available' if this person sends a message. A new message, starting a chat, or replying to another person's message. The status will change to 'Available' when you send it.

How would I be able to achieve this?

I saw in the backend section, Advanced - Polling, that one can choose between two types of message handling. Till now I used Short Polling, and I wanted to try to use Comet, to see what the performance would be. However, if I select Comet, as Polling Type, nothing changes. Still requests each 5 seconds. Does Comet work? Is that based on HTML5's Server Side Events (eventsource)? I think it would save resources.

Also, I am not sure if I understand the text on that page. Should the pros and cons for the two types be switched? That the pros and cons of one belong to the other?

I recently upgraded from version 9.6 to 10.0. Before the upgrade I was able to make a video connection (chrome to chrome, both laptops in home wifi network). This did take some trying. I mostly had to try three or four times to make it work. When a connection was made, this happened one or two seconds after the 'Connecting...' message showed.

After the upgrade I managed to get a connection only once, right after the upgrade. Since then I did not manage to make it work. It shows the screen 'Connecting..', on both laptops, and keeps stuck there. I wait for about 10 to 15 seconds. If I wait longer, my site goes down due to reaching the limits of resource usage (see this post: http://codologic.com/forum/index.php?u=/topic/1714/high-resource-usage-videochat-during-connecting-and-during-connection). This is what I tried:

• Home wifi network, two laptops, chrome to chrome, and firefox to chrome (latest versions)

• Home network to some other network, two laptops, chrome to chrome.

Chrome version 39.0.2171.99 m
Firefox version 34.0.5

Any ideas on why a connection cannot be made?

I have just installed and enabled freichat on my phpBB board. When I access the site, the chat works but there is a small popup box on the left side with no contents. It will not go away when the "x" is clicked either. It there something wrong?

I found the install very easy. And I can see the message window and chat window just fine. But when I try and send a private message or message to a chatroom nothing gets inserted into the DB table frei_chat.

I can see the message was accepted by my client chat window, but it seems that it's not calling the backend process to actually insert the messages.

I think it's not a DB rights issue because I can see user sessions being added to the session table just fine.

I put a debug message into server/freichat.php in the prepare_insert_msg() function, but nothing appears in the freixlog.log file. Problem is the same in chrome and firefox.

I'm no ajax/jquery expert so I'd love to have some feedback on where I can look next or if this problem is known.

After installing Codoforum, the front facing (index) pages don't load at all. I get the message: "This web page is not available".

The admin interface however loads fine without issues.

Guessing the issue could be with loading Smarty. If I comment out the following line in 'routes.php':

CODOF\Smarty\Layout::load($forum->view, $forum->css_files, $forum->js_files);

I get a blank page at least.

I'm using PHP 5.4.12 and MySQL 5.0 on Apache 2.4 web server. Codoforum version - codoforum.v.3.2.1.build-12

Has anyone else expereienced this issue? Thanks for your help.

I'm developing a plugin based on uni_login (only with google) which allow to filter email adresses (a list for example). I wanted to know how is it possible to add an admin menu where I will manage my restriction list when the plugin is enabled.

When I receive a subscription reply, I can see all the addresses of the topic watchers in the "to" field on my email.

Normally I'd expect emails to be sent using the bcc field so that I can't (for privacy reasons).

The readme is great, but I found a few things that need to be checked.

• In two seperate installation tests, I found I had to create a blank database before attempting to install the product (both on Debian). Just supplying root username and password wasn't enough, and nor supplying a new user with full rights for that schema.
• Our in-house server installed fine (debian wheezy), but on the more secure (and older) production server I needed to allow /sites/default/ and /cache/ more permission. I wasn't sure what these needed so I used chmod -R 0775 sites/default/
• renaming htaccess.txt to .htaccess seems to be required but not mentioned
• On my production debian (squeeze), I can't install because of an error relating to the php version I have : /install/index.php?u=/index.php&step=3
  • Unable to require /var/www/coursesuite/forum/public_html/sys//JsonSerializable.php
  • I have PHP 5.3.3-7+squeeze19 with Suhosin-Patch (cli) (built: Feb 17 2014 10:10:23) but there's no documentation on the required build or extensions.

I am using freichat 10.0 with Joomla 3.3.6, JomSocial 3.2.1.6 and Kunena forum 3.0.6.

Freichat works well, except the public chatrooms. It is not possible to write messages. The textbox is not available.

Firebug tells me that the box is still there, but made invisible via
display: none;

I can uncheck display:none momentarily, and read my message, but it is gone after reloading the page.

To test freichat I installed it in an testinstallation, also with Joomla, JomSocial and Kunena. In the testinstallation everything works fine.

I don't know why the public chats behave like that suddenly, it would be nice if someone could help me.
