Email not working

The mails aren't being sent when I I create new accounts for my forum. I have tried smtp and mail() but neither work. SMTP says error SMTP() and mail says sent but it doesn't send.

can you tell us the full error.
Also have a look at the logs if the complete error is not logged on the screen.
