I asked this almost a year ago, didn't get a great response, and I am asking again now.
This software supposedly has FB/Twitter login support, but, I've done a Google search for "Powered by Codoforum" to find forums out there that are using it. To a T, every site falls into two categories:
- Does not allow FB/Twitter login (and even this board falls under that)
- If they do have the buttons for it, EVERY site I've visited when you click it shows either... "Missing provider application credentials.", or, following getting the Facebook "do you want to allow this site", then I get "Authentication failed. The user has canceled the authentication or the provider refused the connection."
Obviously, some don't want that feature, that is great. I also get that if people don't get their credentials set correctly, #2 is going to happen. I get that.
I've heard the spiel back from CL "It's free, so, why not download it and try it". But, if this TRULY has FB/Twitter login support, I would assume there should be at least ONE "known" website out there that is using it successfully. I don't want to spend hours on something that literally NOBODY ELSE from what I've seen so far has gotten to work.
I like a lot of other things about the board (Responsive layout, primarily tags instead of "forum sections" to define posts), but, FB/Twitter login is a big one we want to move towards.
