Admin, new member badges etc would be a good feature(like FB group posts) on posts and comments, the "new members badge could be timed for say 2 or 4 weeks from joining with controls in the admin panel then would change to established member or a similar term?

And also posts could be labelled as 1st posts?

Well, we do have assigned classes for user roles, so a plugin can be written that automatically adds user role "new_user" to all new users and removes them in a cron job (scheduler) after a set period.

Then a simple css would give the intended badge.
