Is there any way to make all registered users included in the freichat group? I would like for them to just appear online or available for chat instead of having to rely on Connections thru CB in Joomla.

I guess you are using freichat 3.x
You must using the CB dependent version, try using freichatpure , it shows all the registered users and
does not rely on CB or any other extension .

You will get the same in the downloads section.

Tried the FreiChatX 4.3 Alpha but the /server/params.php page would never load (just hung).

Tried the FreiChatpure 2.5 but it didn't seem to pick up the users either.

Went to FreiChat 4.2 Alpha and had some limited success but as I said didn't want to rely on "connections" in CB.

Will remove FreiChatX 4.2 and unmod the index.php and retry the freichatpure. Thanks

yes it is possible but i really wont recommend to make any changes to freichatpure code.
freichatpure wont be supported any further, and it is has a lot of bugs.
Its better to wait n use freichatpure as it is until the next version of FreiChatX is released(it should be released within a week)

Its a tiny bug related to the algorithm used to generate paths,and will be fixed in FreiChatX 4.4
