Can the grey "navigation" bar always be visible and populated?

In most forums the "breadcrumb trail" / "navigation bar" is present always, to indicate where you are in the forum.

In Codoforum, the navigation bar only shows up when you are in a message forum, and it usually shows the little "house" icon that you can click on to go back to the "home" page.

In other screens, such as "Profile", this bar does not show up, and therefore there is really no way to easily exit these screens and return to the "home" page.

Is there a way to setup the navigation bar so it is always present with the "home" icon showing?

Hi,

You can add the breadcrumb trail in profile and other pages.

We removed this to avoid redundancy because, in those pages the breadcrumb trail only showed the home icon , and you can always go to the home page by clicking the website logo.

To add the breadcrumb trail, to a template file copy paste the following html
at the top of a template file.

    <div id="breadcrumb" class="col-md-12">

        <div class="codo_breadcrumb_list btn-breadcrumb hidden-xs">
            {"block_breadcrumbs_before"|load_block}
            <a href="{$smarty.const.RURI}{$site_url}"><div>{$home_title}</div></a>
            {"block_breadcrumbs_after"|load_block}
        </div>
    </div>

For example, to load it in profile page, add above html in
sites/default/themes/default/templates/user/profile/view.tpl
