Hi all,

I've just upgraded codoforum from v3.2.1 to v3.3. I'd like to discuss something.

The importer

I followed this guideline: https://codoforum.com/documentation/upgrading
It uses the Importer in the Admin Control Panel.

It just keeps your:

• Topics
• Posts
• Users

And we lost these:

• Categories
• Blocks
• Mail templates
• Pages
• Roles (user groups)
• Configurations: Site name, site descriptions, SMTP mail configuration, Captcha code

I think we should improve the upgrade tool.

Actually, the categories did not get removed for me.. however, I agree with everything else. They should also improve the upgrade in the administration menu.

@typad1 , I customized the categories in v3.2.1. That why I lost them .

Ahh I see.. What did do to change them? I might want to do it if it makes sense.

Well, you will not like it . I export the old database to a SQL text file. Then I copy the codo_pages table INSERT section and re-insert them into my new database.

Well, I see that button in Admin panel. But the document for upgrading (https://codoforum.com/documentation/upgrading) doesn't mention it.
