First of all I must say that this is a great product and it worked right out of the box.

One issue: I have a joomla 1.7 installation with the latest version of JomSocial installed. Avatars from Jomsocial do not show up in the online user list. It only shows the placeholder for a picture, but not the picture itself.

Which integration driver did you choose while installing the chat .
If you choose the simple Joomla driver , FreiChatX wont show avatars .
You should select Joomla with JomSocial driver (integration) .

I've Joomla 2.5 and JomSocial 2.4.2.

If I set NO to Search Engine Friendly URLs in General Configuration / Site; Avatars are seeing and software is working good.

If I set YES to Search Engine Friendly URLs in General Configuration / Site; Avatars have problems as stated below:
1. If you are at homepage Avatars are seeing normally.
2. If you are not homepage Avatars are not seeing and only placeholders of the pictures are seeing.
3. If you say "Open image in new tab" for avatar, when you are in homepage :
http://www.website.org/images/avatar/68f331041df92fba7f033395.jpg

4. If you say "Open image in new tab" for avatar, when you are not in homepage :
http://www.website.org/submenu1/submenu2/images/avatar/68f331041df92fba7f033395.jpg
where /submenu1/submenu2 is the menu place which I've opened.

5. Namely when I'm using joomla, jomsocial with SEO Friendly URLs, and say show avatar to chat software, sotware creates wrong absolute URL for picture, and adds submenus to the URL.

Could you fix this minor issue in freichatx software?

In my case, YES selected in USE APACHE MOD_REWRITE too..

Thanks, it worked for me too: in Joomla 1.5. SEF to NO makes the avatar show up and SEF to YES and APACHE REWRITE also on YES makes it work too. Could this be a standard issue for everyone wrestling with the "avatar not showing up" problem?
