Joomla Version 1.5.8 with CB 1.3.1 installed on apache2triad with PHP Version 5.1.2 MYSQL 5.0.11-beta. Attempted install of freichat 6.0..
I didnt really want to upgrade CB. If NEEDED, i will, but does anyone have any ideas where to go from here?

I've updated CB to 1.7.1.. apparently there is no driver for JCB?! there is only a joomla.php in the drivers folder, not a JCB.php. i've been looking for one, but i believe it is outdated. help please!
the latest version is 6.2.2 (just look at the name of the zip file).
FreiChatX works with every version of CB, there was no need to upgrade.
All the drivers are present, probably you missed some files while uploading.
check you zip file, it must have all the drivers.
thanks for the response!
i'll be working late so tomorrow i'll double check everything. i'll post a reply to confirm the outcome! [looking forward to the updated freichat]
the freshly downloaded package held 8 drivers, only one of which named joomla. the joomla.php supplied works for any joomla installation with or without cb installed correct? i've double checked php.ini to verify that pdo is enabled. it is. i'm not sure if they is an updated version of it required or not, mine was installed prolly 4-5 years ago but works with any other joomla/cb plugin i have. the install reads as follows:
JCB installed folder => C:/webroot/htdocs/
Please make sure freichat directory is in main JCB installed directory
File Permissions
arg.php is writable
configuration.php is readable
Check file path to your configuration.php [C:/webroot/htdocs/configuration.php]
joomla is installed on the root folder. the install for the chat is located in /freichat/installation
i've tried the regular joomla option on the install (as if i was not using cb) with no success. i'd like to verify that the freichat is in the correct location for install. if thats correct, the only thing i can think of is the pdo is erroring. im stumped.
if you have some free time, i can give you access to the web based ftp the admins of the site use so you can verify yourself that every things as it should be. if your familar with logmein, i can allow you access to the server computer. (hosted on win xp).
if anyone knows of a way to test if pdo is active, please let me know so i can verify it before anyone puts any time into any other testing.
you can create and run a PHP file with the following code
<?php phpinfo();
?>C:/webroot/htdocs/freichathttp://mosthatedonline.net/phpinfo.php should be visible to you for reference. sqlite2 is the only pdo enabled.
C:/webroot/htdocs/freichat is the folder location being used.
to clarify things, i should have a JCB driver other than joomla.php in my drivers folder? if so, it was not included in the newest download zip for 6.2 when i downloaded it.
we need PDO for mysql too as joomla uses mysql.
yes you should have JCB.php in the drivers folder.
below are the files that are present in the drivers folder, or else something is wrong with your zip file or something went wrong when you uploaded through FTP.
base.php
CBE.php
Custom.php
Drupal.php
Elgg.php
JCB.php
Joomla.php
JSocial.php
Phpbb.php
Phpvms.php
Sugarcrm.php
WordPress.phpthe above listed php are located in the /server folder, not the install/driver. not sure if that makes a difference. i had tried c/p of the jcb.php into the folder of install/drivers with no success, so i removed it so that it is only located in the server folder.
my phpinfo states that mysql is not running, oh tho it is. i've tried a number of fixes relating to the php.ini but all of that has been configured and was working years in a row. im completely lost as to where to go from here.
