FreiChat only accesses your users table to get show their username in the chat.
How can I simply add the chat / chatrooms features and specify the user_id and avatars in code (or via callbacks) rather than give access to our own database?
That is not possible unless you write code to get the online users yourself and provide it to freichat.
But, It will be just doing the same thing again which already exists in freichat.
Is there a way to have some trial time of the platinum version? We'd like to install it and, provided our users enjoy approve of it, we'll be happy to purchase it.

Our website is available in dozens of languages so we could also help you by providing translations to many languages you're missing. Are you handling RTL properly?
We have not tested RTL for a very long time since no one requested for it.
