Hi, can anybody help me on how to change the homepage title instead of showing All topics? I have tried changing it to logo but seems the footer and the logo text also change along! I badly need help on this! And thanks to admin for great work!

you can remove it from sites/default/themes/default/templates/layout.tpl
Line 16.

It is a template so it is safe to remove or add anything there.

@admin and @WebCrew thanks for your reply. But what I mean is to change the homepage title. When I edit template it changes rest of the site title including post title. I just want to change index page title only without affecting rest of the site. Since 'All Topics | Mysite' is not SEO friendly title for homepage. I hope you understand my needs.

open files/default/themes/the_theme_folder_which_you_are_using/less/colors.less

with a text editor like Notepad++ or Sublime. Then place at the very end:

.navbar-brand {
    font-size: 1.25rem;
}

You can set the font-size number to fit Your needs. For example:

font-size: 1.65rem;

Then save the file and upload it again. This should fix Your problem

@WebCrew , I apologize, I think you are still misunderstanding the issue. I want to change homepage <title> </title> without affecting the rest of the category, post and pages title at the browser tab. Can we do that?

It would be best if you take a screenshot with an arrow on the title you want to have bigger.

Do you mean the title like here in the forum "Codologic" or the title of the forum category?

Best make a screenshot and show me what You want please. Something like the one I uploaded here as a example.

If I remove the title syntax from layout.tpl then it will remove and replace all the page, post, categories with custom title that I put. I want it to be as it is except homepage title I want to change from 'All topics' to something else without harming other pages titles. Can we do that? Appreciate your reply!

Now I finally understand what you want. There is only one problem, I cannot find the "browser title" in my installation. I use the Chrome and Opera browser - which browser do you use?

Or better asked: how can I represent/reproduce the situation you showed me on the screenshot?

During my installation and here in at the CF forum this "all topics I website name" is not shown to me and therefore I can not see where the code for it is hidden in the templates or in the CSS to change it.

Wow this is actually such a simple matter and yet so complicated until we finally reach the goal. Sorry for not realizing the situation a little earlier.

I will visit the CF Forum several times a day today, so you don't have to wait a whole day for an answer.

I think I found a "dirty" solution, but it effects also other "all topics" parts within CF.

You can open the following file with a code editor like Notepad or Sublime:**

sites/default/locale/en_US.php (or the language file You use as standard)

next search for: "All topics" (should be around line number 65)

change: 'All topics' => 'All topics',
to 'All topics' => 'your desired text',
and save and reupload.

You can also use the CF backend to do all of that by visiting the "System/Language Setting tab" and start to editing the language file as explained.

P.S.:

At the end the best solution would be to find the code in the CF templates where the titel is generated like shown on Your screenshot. Then the text can be changed explicitly without bad effects on the rest of the page.

Hey @WebCrew thanks for your reply. But changing Lang file will change the rest of the site. The situation is I don't to want change any part of the site except the Homepage Title. Changing title from template as in @admin mentioned earlier will replace rest of the forum title which is bad for SEO. I am really concerned about SEO. Really help needed from the core team!
