hope I can it explain good enough, because my english isn't very well.

First, I was more than happy to find this wonderful chat, its a great Projekt!
The Installation works fine, but if I want to configure the Details in the Backend, it isn't possible.
I can choose what I want, nothing changes.

In Frontend the chat works fine, only it doesn't take the Changes.

I tried to uninstall the chat, reinstall, different versions, different Browser, many times. Everything I got the same results. What can I do?
It would be great, If I can use this chat!

I'm using:
Joomla! 1.5.22 Stable
Apache/2.2.16 (Debian)
PHP: 5.3.3-7+squeeze1
Community Builder 1.4

Ah..Before I forget it: Where can I turn the Sounds off? Thats really important for me.

Make sure the following files have write permissions

1. ~/freichat/arg.php
2. ~/freichat/config.dat


And do you get any errors in your browser debugger related to freichat

You are perhaps the first person to ask this ,
so this option is not yet added but you can do it manually.

Go to ~/freichat/client/freichat.js

Around line 479 you will find the line

soundManager.play('mySound',freidefines.url+"client/jquery/img/newmsg.mp3");

Can you open the file ~/freichat/arg.php

is it blank ?

Compare it to the arg.php file that you get in the compressed archive .
and tell me if you see any changes

... the config.dat wasn't writable.. I thougt it was. Now it works fine!
