i have downloaded freichat but when i try to install friechat on my localhost it asks freichatadminpass when i enter text it does not get processed.

what to do to get installed freichat on localhost in customized

Hi

I use Freichat Basic version on Joomla 2.5.28 since Nov. 2015. It seems that when it's activated it creates huge traffic on the server. For example the normal traffic of the site is around 1Mb and with Freichat is increased to 30-40Mb.
I have set it up to be visible only to Registered users which means around 300 max at a given time which is not a big number I guess.
How can I find what the problem is?

Q1: I've a phpBB3.2 forum with Freichat v.9(free downloaded). The instant messenger shows all the online users, even the bots. How can i solve this, i want to see friends only in the messenger. I have disabled the chatbox, i use only the messenger.

Q2: How can i upgrade from the free version to the corporate version? Is the best way to re-install it?

Q3: In the Netherlands is it possible to pay with . I have no paypall account and no creditcards (i don't want any creditcard). Do i need to create a paypall account for the payment?

the user avatars aren't loading from cb only the default freichat ones that are used for guests load. please advise. thank you for your time and help

Why my chat page gives empty page after setting the session variables in freichat application?I followed as per the installation guide,but it gives empty page.Please help me out.

We installed FreiChat on our Page and ...as far as good...but at the point where we have to decide if we want to take the modul or the code way to run it on the side, we choosed module an got redirected to a part of the far far Web that told us "missing file". So can you please can you give a new working link to us where we are able to download the Modul for our joomla side?

We also tried the code way an FreiChat shows up on the page but messed up a lot of our articls in the forum. All errors are base graficaly so if we erase the part of the FreiChat code to get it running, the errors are gone but also FreiChat.

there seems to be a couple of issues.

1. i cant seem to send files
2. in the chat room area sometimes the input txtbox disappears not allowing for txt input.

how do i fix this? TIA

strange things... Chat is correctly installed with the SugarCRM driver. In http:.............../freichat/index.php all seems to be fine and users are displayed.
Everything is fine in sourcecode page, Freichat is here.

Problems are coming after you login. Nothing happen. I explored the CRM and the only place where freichat is appearing is in the map marker module.
I also tried to replace in harcode.php : usertable, $row_username and $row_userid with the right values... but nothing!

Do you thing it is cause Freichat was auto installed under the index.php of root directory of /SugarCRM and not under the the /theme folder?

at this step unclear what to put, my unsers are un the database as uni_users, plus i dont know were to place this after.

MediaStreamTrack.getSources() is deprecated, and removed from the latest chrome version (January 2017). Chrome now uses MediaDevices.enumerateDevices().

Maybe have a fix where MediaDevices.enumerateDevices() is used first, and if that gave no result, use MediaStreamTrack.getSources() second?

But I don't know how to make this code. Any ideas?

I have created a free opensource marketing platform that includes friends lists, profiles, block lists, etc. One of the key aspects of the platform is to have an instant messenger that friends can use to converse back and forth.

Your software does a great job of this and we would like to be able to release our free opensource software with an unbranded copy of the free version of the friechat software. Realistically we have searched, yours has every feature one could want so why would we want to recreate the wheel.

We would include in our setup instructions that for a full featured social IM, users should consider upgrading friechat, however we specifically are asking permission to distribute unbranded copies of friechat with our software.

Now, I have read through the forums and I know the typical reply is "you are not allowed to distribute our software nor are you allowed to branch it as it is against the terms of the license, which is not opensource". This is why I tried to contact privately about this issue before bringing it to the forums, because that answer is not entirely true.

I would much rather work with codologic on this and have their permission to release the free version of friechat within our opensource platform, but if that is not an option, what is an option is branching friechat.... not in its existing form, but the copies released up until 2013 when the license was changed from GPL to private.... however anyone with those original GPL licensed copies (or anyone who can find them).... under the terms of the GPL they CAN in fact branch the project.

Granted a lot has changed in 4 years, but its still a nice starting place to branch a project from.

Again I would much rather this not be a public issue. I would prefer to discuss this privately and work with friechat on some reasonable solution allowing us to distribute. So please do reach out to me by email and lets talk.

How do i configure freichat only to show only last 5 messages received and not all of message history?

hey i am having a issue i start the install and do the DB stuff and thats fine. but then it gets to the part of me pasting the code. and i paste it in to my template PAGE_CONTAINER

and then test it on the install and it does not show up on my forum.

i have pasted it in a diffrent location. and i get a small text come up saying cant find the hardcode.php file.
but its the same code that the installation made up for me

This is all on Xenforo also.
