First of all, congratulations for your excellent work !!!

Sorry for my english, this is not my natural language.

I've intalled FreightChat into my Joomla 1.5 site and it works as i want.But i'm bit trouble when i compare Freichat OnLine Users to Numbers of real connected users in the site.

I understand that some users can log-off themselves from Freichat, but no sure they are.

Questions :
Is there any possibilities to see are many users are log-off ?
Is there any limit time of inactivity, that put user off line ( I mean in the online users counter ) ?

Finally, do we have in the future :
The option to see only the online friends users, and allow only friends users to chat.
And Community Builder compatibility for exemple Gender information, link to users profil etc ...

Hi, really thank you for great script.
But I need some advice.

Please is possible to give options to users, hide this freichat panel, like when the user is offline? But he will not be offline.

Or the default settings when the freichat panel will be hidden (style like when he is offline), and when he is logged, the panel will be still hidden (or showed), but other users be able to see, that he is online.

Off course I don't want disable offline status.

It seems that after installation all features are now functioning properly so far. However, I have noticed a strange bug. The more users who are showing up in the chat module, the bigger the margin which is being created above my header banner. I can see the margin actually change sizes in proportion to how many users pop up on my chat box list of buddies.

Please let me know if this has ever been an issue or what further info I can provide to help you help me :)

I found the information on the EnVix forums a while back - but I've not visited recently... Now, all of the useful information has gone?! Seems strange to drop all of those previous solutions?

Anyway, my point is: How do i hide the Joomla module, just leaving the FreiChat module in the bottom corner?

Any help would be appreciated?

Forget this... Found it in the php file... And then found the readme contained within the download.

Still, i'm intrigued to see why you've lost all the older posts? I can see the layout has changed etc, but that information was useful?

friChatx installed on jomla by extending the first instalation com.freichat then frei chat mod that I have joomla włączyłem.Nastronie http://www.esklepy.cba.pl zinstalowane CBE and I score a window displays to me on the chat but it does not work by only Online Freunde I'm logged on to two other comp and other profiles CBE but the chat does not.

I have followed the installation instructions and got no errors using the quick install but there is nothing on my homepage and got the following error in the parameters:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '{' in /home/userid/public_html/mysite.net/freichat/server/admin_files/home/index.php on line 1

Can anybody help?

I've installed the latest version of FreichatX (4.6.2) today, first with the quick option and - after there was no chat at all on my site - with the manual option.
Everything worked fine, but no result. I've double-checked the arg.php, also the index.php of my template.

There is no error message, just nothing!

Hello -

FreiChat installed very easily on our internal intranet - and without any errors. However, we cannot send any messages to each other.

User names are displayed properly. Messages that have been sent are displayed properly in the message pane. However, the recipient does not receive them.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Do you want a theme that matches you're site but you are not a techsavie?

In the Freichat Administrator you can create you're own themes.
If you still don't know what to do...help is on the way!

I installed Freichat properly, and i am sure that my database data are right in arg.php, however, it always shows that there are no users online.

I checked log, and most of the time it is

I successfully followed all instructions for install and everything went well on a 1.5 Joomla with Community Builder. No errors or anything odd. I chose manual install and it went as illustrated in your very informative video. Now when I look at the homepage I see no freichat interface.

freichat/client/error_log shows

line 35 of this file says:

hi i am new to this component. recently i installed this product on my site www.myreadingroom.co.in. it works very well.
when i try to validate my site on w3 validation server then it show 93 errors which are related to this component. so my request to u is is it necessary to validate, then tell me how to rectify all these errors. help will be appriciated.

I installed FreiChatX.. followed the installation instructions... edited the parameters.... everything looks great.

I was testing the script using two different browsers, and different login credentials. Was working great.

Here is the issue:

When I typed a long message, using words with punctuation ie: "That's"... the message would not transmit. It seems to only be an apostrophe that causes this challenge.

Any thoughts?

I used your previous release which worked fine.
As I wanted to install FreiChat 4.6, I've cleaned all the contents in my Freichat subfolder, placed the new content after unzipped the new downloaded file, and cleaned the two blocks of special code inserted in the index.php file of my template.
After, I've realized the installation as explained, and finally tried the result on my site.
Now, I see none effect on my screen: exactly like if I didn't install your product!
What's the matters?

have tried few different versions includeing cb pure and x but i still get the same problem, frei chat showing no friends on line, i also cant save configuration in back end. have had similar problem before but managed to solve the problem by installing a different version but no matter what i do now it wont work.

(have tried different browser loged in as 2 different users, boath connected in cb)

Hi, I have a problem when I select the option to only have access to the chat users who have registered and logged.

When I try to access the chat, stays in a loop trying to retrieve users online. FreichatX me works fine when I put it to the guests. I am using the latest version 4.5 Beta Stable.

I was digging in the code to see if I could fix it, when I put it in debug mode, and what so far is that freixlog.log time to time I returned a pattern of lines like the following. Sometimes it gets a lot of lines "connected", sometimes few, but usually get many of them.

I do not think that is a problem in Joomla or Community Builder.



I noticed the JCB driver and so far I could not understand much, but I came to getUsers function ().

You may have something wrong with the $ userid that is used in the query?

The query by itself with a valid userid someone registered works fine.

What I can do to make it work?
