So i'm setting Freichat on a customize website and i'm using postgreysql.(9.2)

I'm actually stuck in the freichat smart custom installation - step 1, after the successful connection to the db ( i just had to switch the mysql driver with the postgreysql one).

So the thing is that i only have install.sql (mysql) and install_mssql.sql (MS sql) files and I really need the one compatible with postgre.

I tryed to convert it by myself but it's really difficult and there are errors i can't correct without affecting the whole freichat use.

ex :

My question is: would you have a version of that install.sql fully compatible with postgrey ??

hi, i set "shown" to this "The options like clear history, save history , send email , send files in the chat window should be by-default"

but nothing changed, the button arent show by default..any help?

I'm using Joomla 3.2.3 with Freichat V. 9.6 on cwcity as host. You got to bear a layered ad for getting this free host. I think this ad causes the bug that Freichat won't load the online user data. One time I could "buy" a month of ad-free time for my website, and look there, it worked. But actually I can't buy this ad-free time every month...its not possible because you got to earn "virtual money" on cwcity for deactivate your ad's...

Is there anything I can do?

Hi,

when Freichat is activated on my domain, Firefox reports "Adobe Flash is on <domain> activated".
when Freichat is configured to be disabled Firefox reports nothing. So no Flash notification at all.
I'm using the lates Freichat version.

So the question is, does Freichat use Flash or what else could be the reason for this notifcation?
Is it somehow possible to get rid off this browser notification?

After installing and testing the chat (still kind of buggy), I decided to purchase the $65 version with plans to add video later. The only difference I see from the
free version is that the 'powered by' text is removed. The backend still looks the same - I see no more customize options than before. This is after completely
removing the database from my hosting and files from the web, then reinstalling.


Also, Can I change the opacity of the entire module? I need to be able to see content behind the window... AND, I read that the module or rooms are draggable?
All I get is a completely fixed window.

Does anyone know how to change the position of the Chat Room button ? Using Developer Tools on my website, I can see the in-line code:

I can move the button up and down by altering the "top" element using the developer tools but now want to change it in the actual code. I have looked and cannot find anything in the CSS files, nor in the PHP or .JS files.

Can anyone help ????

I paid 65 dollars for the Corporate version which is supposed to provide complete and guaranteed installation and integration with my VLDPersonals CMS. After I paid I requested assistance for it both here in the forum and by opening a privat ticket but I got no answer yet from the people in charge. I need to know when I get this support for the money I paid and when I will have the Freichat integrated in the site.

first of all thanks for this great chat software! I use it on a Joomla website and it works perfect.

How can I show the existing chatroom(s) when the page is loaded?
By default the tab button (div class="frei_tab") is shown, but I want to see the chatrooms (div class="frei_chatroom-content") on load of the page.

Btw, the German language pack contains an error:
$frei_trans['titles_save'] = 'Seichere Chathistorie';
should read
$frei_trans['titles_save'] = 'Speichere Chathistorie';

I have a jQuery EasyUI menu that stopped working after installing the chat. If i disable chat the menu works again.

On the JS Console, it gives the error "Uncaught TypeError: Property '$' of object [object Object] is not a function" and then states the name of the javascript function the menu calls.
Also tried to set "Remove Jquery Conflicts" but with no success.

The Javascript Debug and the PHP debug shows no relevant info.

Can anyone, please, help me integrate freichat with the VLDPersonals database? I have downloaded it and installed it on my site but it won't show up users. Just guests. I have done my best (which probably is not much) but I couldn't manage to get through. Any help would be really appreciated.
They advertise Freichat integrates with VLDPersonals automatically but there seems to be no module for it. I am not a coding pro so I need simple and specific instructions and guidance to achieve the DB integration. Thanks to anyone who bothers to read my post and answer me !

Sorry to ask such a stupid question but I'm struggling to install Freichat. I cannot find the location of the folder for the files to be put in. I can't find the install folder. Any help welcome!!!

Already try to replace FollowSymlinks for SymLinksIfOwnerMatch in the .htaccess file but doesnt work , any help ?

After installed of the mod, i have mach erros with request to folder "attachments". I find the problem - on my host in folder "attachments" has the file .htaccess with the following settings:

But why a file is requested directly:

$list[$i]['avatar'] = $murl . 'attachments/' . $row['id_attach'] . '_' . $row['avatar_attachment_url'];

Why not to use a functional of engine:

Hello, I really like your chat it is great but like others using SMF I am not getting no sound on incoming message while at the same window as chat and different. I am using chrome, I have tried hitting f12 and under console entering "FreiChat.API.beep()" but i receive this error:

TypeError: Cannot call method 'beep' of undefined

Can you please help me fix this issue? Other than this hiccup everything has been very easy to use.

I've installed Freichat in Joomla 3.2.2 (now updated to 3.2.3, but nothing is changed)... installation worked ok, but I can't see the chat on frontend... all folders/files permission was been setting to 0755, chat module on all pages... but nothing... no chat visible in my site... what's wrong?? I have two questions, the first one:

1. I want hidden half of the pseudo users, but only in the chatroom!

Example: Mypseudo ==> ***seudo

I edited the file chatroom.php when I enter the room, it works correctly, but after a few seconds the pseudo becomes as before, without the little stars!

Could you tell me what to change dear friends? Thank you very much.

2. I have not managed to integrate the avatar of my database, my avatar is in the same table as the other member information!

So for me I would have to put:

- member
- photo
- id

The other two boxes I do not know what to put! Even if I put anything that does not work!
