Fontawesome icon not showing over ssl!

It's a cross-origin-resource problem:

Access to Font at 'https://testhill.com/discuss/sites/default/themes/2k18/fonts/Oswald.woff' from origin 'https://www.testhill.com' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'https://www.testhill.com' is therefore not allowed access.

As you're hosting the fonts yourself, changing the URL of the fonts to:

https://www.testhill.com/discuss/sites/default/themes/2k18/fonts/Oswald.woff

so that they're on the same origin as the main page will probably fix it.

More generally, you might need a .htacess CORS rule -- see for example, this on stackoverflow.

The screenshot isn't using 'www' in the URL, so the page and font URLs match.

If you include the www (as you did in your original post) they don't match and you still have the problem.

This is old, but the issue is still around! I'm facing the same issue, over ssl. Also on one project the icons is not showing up neither on http or https.

Any clues to solve this?

SOLUTION FOUND!

Here's the solution that worked for both my projects:

Add the following code to the .htaccess file

# Always use https for secure connections
# Replace 'www.example.com' with your domain name
# (as it appears on your SSL certificate)
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://quen-quen.com/$1 [R=301,L]

Change the URL on the RewriteRule to your domain!

This code will force the use of https connections, eliminating the issue.
