Embedded YouTube videos do not play under HTTPS because of HTTP URL

An embedded YouTube video under an https website does not start playing.
The reason is that, even if the URL of the video is https, the call to YouTube is made in http.

Example:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXSmOlN6lw0

Hi,

That is a browser restriction, what we can do is replace the embedded urls automatically with https depending on the website.

Sorry, but I do not understand: this website, I mean https://codologic.com/forum, is HTTPS. The YouTube URL I attached in the previous post is HTTPS, so why the call to YouTube is made in HTTP?

BTW:
1) the embedding of YouTube URLs taken from the "Share" button, e.g. https://youtu.be/sXSmOlN6lw0 is not working.
2) the embedding of YouTube URLs having additional parameters, like the starting time, is not working, e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXSmOlN6lw0&t=10s

Yes, that is a valid bug. We will fix it in the next release.

I've found another issue related to this topic.
Some videos do show up in the "live preview" window, but they do not show up in the actual post.
What I've noticed is that the URLs of those videos include one or more hyphens in the "v" parameter value, e.g. v=jtZ--6rdXe4

Could the hyphens the cause of the issue?

We will have a look at that. Thanks for letting us know.
