Hi,

This is a bit of a weird one. I've been working on my first ever site with CB in Joomla 1.5, and I'm guessing at most of the things I do. I found out about Freichat and it sounded great. It is great, I absolutely love it! But for some reason it doesn't like Ninjaboard at all, the second I turned on Freichat, Ninjaboard dropped dead on my Joomla site. Are there any fixes for this. Or alternatively is there a nice free Joomla forum extension that is compatible with both Freichat and CB?

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

1. I'm download FreiChatX.5.1.Alpha and extract to C:\AppServ\www\joomla\
2. I'm go to config arg.php in C:\AppServ\www\joomla\freichat

4. To step:2 Install Type
I'm select Joomla with JomSocial

on firt not pass because show

JSocial installed folder => C:\AppServ\www\joomla\freichat\installation

Please make sure freichat directory is in main JSocial installed directory

File Permissions
arg.php is writable

configuration.php is not readable

In Check file path to your configuration.php :
I'm use C:\AppServ\www\joomla\configuration.php

It's Pass!

Then I'm press submit.That show Error!: could not find driver

please tell me what a correct method to Install FreiChatX.5.1.Alpha?

1. during the development on localhost, you extension works fine: no real problem
2. today, I transfer all my site in production. And I have none echo of Freichat on the users' screens.

My idea: any address of the right production Url must be changed now ???
Please: what are the parameters to be updated and in what file ?

I have updated the parameters of the database in the "arg.php" file: now, I see the mini window of Freichat, but none icons, none members, ... on the screen !

The problem is that the write field turns white in the same time that the mouse clicks in it. The text color is white too, so it is impossible to se what you write... can you help me to fix this problem?

hello sir i have installed freichat on my website and installed the module in joomla and enabled it with first priority in module position but i am not able to see the chat on my frontend on my site but i installed the freichat on my local server with same configuration it is installed and also see in frontend

Not a big deal, but it seems as though I cannot change my profile picture. Even when I remove it and add a new one it keeps my old one. Perhaps a drulpal error?

In gmail users can change the theme's of the chat, which it would make the chat system more personalized if users could select the templates which you have installed in freichat. Perhaps in the additional options button in the chat bar it could be placed.

Hello. I noticed that the speed of loading pages on my site is slower than 2 seconds when your chat is enabled. I hope strongly that you can improve this feature.

First off thanks for the great chat tool, it's something I've wanted for my site for a long time. Now for the request :) . Would it be possible to restyle the chat interface so that rather than have it so that the tools and such are over the powered by the interface is perhaps twice as long and the powered by is on one end and the tools are on the other making it thinner?

I am using the Phpbb driver for Freichat and this happens across multiple themes, but I can not get the user avatars from phpbb site to work in Freichat.

It is defaulting to the "user.jpeg"

Any help would be great!

I feel as though it is important to show the " (name) Is Typing..." because it allows you to know if they are about to send you a message or not. Helpful if a conversation slows down, but even more importantly when someone is typing a long message you want to know if they are typing. This would also help if you are left wondering if they left to do something. A very important feature for future versions.

Bug:
When a message arrives and the box of the conversation opens the title of the site in the explorers tab starts flashing and says new message from.....
If you pres the X button of the conversation without clicking on the conversation first to give focus to it, the flash never stops!!!

Request:
Is it easy to show on the conversation box that the person on the other side is typing something when he types??

I've decided to upgrade from freichatpure.v.2.5.0 to FreiChatX.5.1.Alpha, and i've followed your instructions.
I've uploaded the zip file to my home directory, uncompressed, install and define a password for administrator access. I've installed the module.
It works fine in my site, in portuguese!
But i can't access to FreiChatX Login administrator with the password that i've defined...
What went wrong?

I am new to Joomla and it's plugins. One of my friend is asking me to look
into plugins that can be used for Facebook like chatting and I thought yours
would be the best option.

I freshly installed Joomla 1.6.3. Then I installed your FreiChatX.5.1.Alpha
plugin. The installation finished successfully. Then I downloaded the mod
for Joomla only and installed it in the site. The mod is in active status.
But I still cannot see the chat window or Facebook login anywhere in the
site.

Can you help me? I'd like to know where I went wrong and how I can fix this.

Question regarding the plugin. If a Facebook user registers using his
Facebook credentials, will it automatically activate him/her? Or can Admin

They arrive :
Hello , on first tab
How are you , on second tab

How can i make all messages arrive to all tabs???

Hi, i have a couple of questions about freichat, i am testing it on my website before launching and i downloaded the stable 4.6.3 to avoid problems, i use jomsocial 2.2.2 and joomla 1.6.3 everything seems to work fine for now but i wanted to know if there is a way to remove the file sending button from the chat, cause i don't want it and cause it seems to not work at all..
i dunno if this can be done with the newer version of freichatx..can somebody give me a suggestion?
will update to the latest version help?

I'm able to get the currently logged on username by using:

but my problem is on how to pass this username to freichat?

You guys would really knock my socks off if there was a cb tab which allowed users to do a few things.

1. Disable the chat. I've seen on some websites were half the people love the chat system and the other half do not like chat systems.

2. Perhaps change the template or something like this. This would make sites really community like, if such a cb plugin were made I would be happy to spread the fame of frei chat over on joomlaopolis (communitybuilder) which I'm sure they would love too!

Now I'm patient with this one, but it would be nice to see within the next half year.

Not sure if this would help but there is a extension called "Superactivity" as seen here:

In the light version there is a option in the cb tab parameters to disable on the profile (which might be able to apply for general display), perhaps if you copied out some of that code it would make your job easier?

It's a simple addition to the module, but it would be nice if module class suffix's were added to the module parameters. Currently it displays on the page as well, but if the module allowed page suffix I then could put in "-none" which would hide the module from displaying while still having the chat. If I'm not mistaken I think you had this on a older model of freichat.

It's probably a really minor error but this error will not let me view the administrator panel configurations. (well it shows the menus and such but where the parameters are the error code is. I carefully installed it using the tutorial, and just to make sure I reinstalled it on my test site which got the same error message.

The error looks like this:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '{' in /home1/cascadeh/public_html/freichat/server/admin_files/home/index.php on line 1

When looking at Theme maker a slightly different error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '{' in /home1/cascadeh/public_html/freichat/server/admin_files/theme_maker/index.php on line 1

The other menu's are pretty much the same error message (perhaps this is all from one slightly midtyped "}"?

I'm currently using Xfreichat alpha 5.1 which I am very impressed with! I tried experimenting with the code to fix it, but I'm not php expert although I'm trying to learn little bits and pieces. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Also forgot to mention, I selected JCB (joomla cb) as my installation type. I am currently using joomla 1.5.23 (if that makes any difference). I'm assuming it's a chat error.

Hi there I am hoping someone can help me. I am running joomla 1.5.23, cb 1.4 and freichat 3.5. Recently I discovered that after I anabled the html template patch, the cb login module started to function incorrectly. The cb login module pending connection notification will only show on cb menu links and not all menu links as it would before. To reverse the effects I did the following but nothing worked:

1. Disabled the html patch and deleted the freichat html patch from my template. "did not work"
2. Uninstalled my site template and reinstalled it. "did not work"
3. Uninstalled freichat component and module. "did not work"
4. Uninstalled the cb login module. "did not work"
5 Deleted the main menu module. "did not work"

Does anyone know what other files the html template patch might have affected?

Everything i make works in 5 min except email but i do that too...
