I found a bug in the chatroom part of freechat:

The symbol for changing the color theme has no tooltip, it shows nothing by moving the mouse over it. But this never minds.
The smiley symbol shows something like "insert smily" and by clicking on it, I can insert a smily.
But the symbol on the right from the part where you can insert the message (picture of a little wheel) shows the same message too: "insert smily", but clicking on it, all symbols for mailing and saving chat history, changing color or sending files are dissapearing then.

I would like to correct it. Can you help me?

One thing that bugs me is that when you click on a username on the user list, a box pops up but it doesn't automatically focus on the chat. I would have to click the chat box in order to chat with that person. Will this be implemented in the future?

Hey hi i have integrated Freichat into a social networing website developed in PHP. I want to show only friends of the users . I also changed the function get_buddies() placed into /freichat/server/drivers/custom.php but it is showing " Loading Friends ".

I also changed from freichat Backend " EveryOne to Only your buddies".

can you please tell me how can i get only the friends of user.

When you click the chat room tab and join a room, it does not show the users in the room. also, when a user creates a room, nobody can join it with or without password.

in the mobile template can not see the username I write but if I click back and re-enter if I updated the usersnames, but in real time does not indicate who writes in chat.

I have installed freichat using Custom integration. I have done changes as per instructions. Like changes database table, user name field and user id field in hardcode.php

But i could not see online users on chat. Its always saying that."Getting list of online users..:"

I am using latest version 9.3. I have tried all browsers.

Please help on this as early as possible. I want to buy license version if everything works fine.

I've just installed Freichat for the first time and the installation completed with no errors.

Upon reloading the page i do not see the chat box anywhere and upon further inspection the file freichatcss.php and main.php are throwing the following error in the logs.

SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

My host is godaddy is that has any relevance and i've also configured the settings to allow all users access to the chat.

i was installing freichat on my smf forum at http://theteamk.x10.mx (web host=x10 hosting)
i uploaded the freichat 9.3 to the web root and extracted its contents in a folder named "freichat"
but when i access http://theteamk.x10.mx/freichat/installation/index.php it says access is denied
can u tell me why am i facing this problem?

SugarCRM CE Version 6.5.15 (Build 1083)


I installed Version 6.5.15 (Build 1083) yesterday and since then I have not been able to see freichat within SugarCRM. I am able to log into the backend of Freichat.

Everything in the backend seems to function fine, however when I click on "moderation" I get the following error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function fetchAll() on a non-object in /home/xxx/domains/xxx.com/public_html/sugar/freichat/administrator/admin_files/moderate_users/drivers/base.php on line 129

Also, when I try and click on the "admin" drop down, nothing happens and no drop down is shown (this is in the Freichat backend). I have used Firefox and IE.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am currently running Freichat v. 9.3.

Hi, the chat works in PC but on a mobile device the chat button shows always a red icon with the number zero and when i click on it does nothing.
I tried with other users logged in.

I'm having trouble installing Freichat with Joomla 3.0

I downloaded the FreiChat.V.9.3.zip file, extracted, uploaded, then accessed http://your_website.com/freichat/installation/index.php as per instructions in the General installation guide.

I get the following:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, support@your_host.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Apache/1.3.33 (Debian GNU/Linux webspace) Server at your_website.com Port 80

I read through the forums and found that I had to change permissions on all files and folders below the freichat folder to 755. Did that, no change.

Also found a reference to PDO.

Made sure the following were enabled in php.ini on the host.

[PHP_PDO]
extension=php_pdo.dll
[PHP_PDO_MYSQL]
extension=php_pdo_mysql.dll

Still no change.

I set up a local copy of the site on my PC using XAMPP and it worked just fine, so it's obviously something to do with the shared host.

What do I need to be checking for?

I've installed Freichat on my joomla+jomsocial website, but there a display problem.
The name doesn't appear, only the login user name in the window chat.
But for me, Me is quit shown, only others have bug...
I tryed to change from backend but nothing to do (changing user to nickname but nothing happens).
Can you help me ?

I asked for my domain to change ten days ago. I received a response several days later saying the domain has been changed. I redownloaded freichat and it still is not working on the new domain. It is still licensed to the first domain. I have sent emails and request ticekts..... I don't know what to do to get a timely response from this group of developsers...

On my website, All my users are considered guests on freichat. Why is that?

I have looked through hardcore.php and made sure the information there reflects my current database tables, and everything is ok there. however after reinstalling 2/3 times it still is the same error.

I am using v 8.5 and I can only use that because i have found it is the only version that will even work at all on my current website, I have installed it custom, and I am using Etano.

I'm encountered an problem (previously i write an email via feedback form) - that chat didn't work. I'm tested it on my localhost and it's run well so I uploaded freichat from package to server, configure folders as installator asks, and install it.
First of all it's runs on phpBB 3.0.8, on web-server with Apache 2.0, PHP 5.1.6, MySQL 5.0.4. I can administer in backend, can save options in DB, but on dashboard "Total messages - Online users - Banned users" is empty (not 0 just nothing at all) and getfirebug says that:

TypeError: vals is null
no = parseInt(vals[len]);

I've checked DB and there is an data in fields, e.g. frei_session = 10 users.

But this is not all, on forum freichat wont show, in code there is an script inclusion: ../freichat/client/main.php?id=bd6a19b66a6362fcf1a68825b8795b1f&xhash=6e8009ca1837b4237e65b61fab358bbe

if i try to open this file directly and it's just empty at all. On localhost this file output data. GetFireBug not encounter any errors! In the template i'm including at top of -head- tag jQuery 1.9.1 and jQuery UI 1.10.3, below this almost at the end i've put the freichat (same as on localhost where it works). Any suggestions?

P.S.: I'm sure that i'm turned on "php in templates" in phpBB ACP, purge cache and made changes in overall_header.html
P.P.S.: I tried to enable debug PHP and JS and there is nothing interesting, it reports like anything just fine

What could be the source of the problem? Since at the first step it could connect to my db...

I'm interested in Platinum version of freichat with video chat, but after testing looks like it has no acoustic echo cancellation software integrated.. Huge echo , tested on few computers. Does anyone know if they are going to do something with that? Looks like there is no way to contact support or ask a question ( sent 3 emails) no response.

I like this freichat so much but when i try to install it in joomla 2.5 on live server is giving the following error: JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file.
