Just checked in the directory and I have no conifguration.php file

you have to set the path to the configuration.php file present in the joomla directory and not in the 'freichat' directory.

Are you using Joomla ? If yes , then Joomla wont work without the configuration.php file in its directory .

Where have you placed the freichat directory ?

no i am not using joomla extension.

first i will set up freichat in my local PC the path is D:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\freichat.

Are you trying to intergrate/install FreiChat into a Custom build website or any other CMS ?

The freichat directory should be inside the website directory which is to be integrated and not outside (\xampp\htdocs)

My best guess would be that you had selected Joomla as the integration driver in the second step of installation and so the corresponding error (due to absence of Joomla)
