can anyone help me in integrating user avatars in friechat i am using custom cms... i store avatar in user table with file names only and provide them path using config file like this:

UserImagePath($_USR_ID).$row['avatar']

Also, there is an avatar integrator built inside freichat installer .
We recommend you use that .

i tried your instructions but its not working... i tried editing avatar url but no result..

i have not modified query i have modified get_buddies() in custom.php i am using $_SESSION method for showing avatar.... $_SESSION['avatar'] contains the image name and its path like this $_SESSION['avatar']=UserImagePath($_USR_ID).$row['avatar'];

$list = $this->db->query($query)->fetchAll(); 
        $i=0; 
        foreach($list as $temp) 
        { 
              $list[$i]['avatar'] = $_SESSION['avatar']; //update the original array
              $i++; 
            }

Try dumping the variable $list after the foreach loop to see if it is working correctly.

To see the output of your dump, use chrome developer tools(f12) , check the response of any of the requests in the network tab

can you please elaborate dumping $list?? i tried developer tools there is nothing there... freichat debug mode is on
