I have a Testinstall of Freichat 9.6 on a local site with Wordpress 3.7.3, Buddypress 1.8.1 and bbPress 2.4.1

The install worked without problem, also the configuration in Freichat admin. The Freichat Plugin (Freichatx-i4WP.v7.x.zip) could also installed and activated without problems. The chat seems to work. The only thing is that logged in users will be displayed as guests.

Do you have a idea?

Did you choose wordpress as the integration driver during installation ?

Yes, i did. Cause the site is running a combination of Wordpress and Buddypress

Tested with some differrent templates, but still the same problem. Also deactivated the plugin and testetd with the code in the header, but this does also not solve the problem.

Updated environmen: WP 3.9, Buddypress 2.0, bbPress 2.5.3 - current template: Raindrops

reinstalled freichat using the wordpress driver. No change, still same problem.

Check if the users are being creating by checking the freichat database table 'frei_session' using phpmyadmin (or equivalent)

Turn on php debug in freichat backend->Additional . Then check the file freixlog.log in freichat directory for any errors.

Ok, enabled PHP and Javascript Debug in Backend. Logged off and newly logged in two users but no logfile was created in ..../freichat directory. But the users are still only logged in at that point, they did nothing. A screenshot of the table frei_session is attached.

Sorry, my mistake. Forgot refresh in ftp client. A error message arised int he log multiple times:

Looking at the query it looks like table prefix is set to 'frei_' . Is this prefix correct ?

Make sure the prefix set in wordpress is same as freichat .

You can try running the below query using phpmyadmin , you will get an idea about the problem .

SELECT user_login FROM frei_users WHERE ID=1

This was the "trick". the prefix of freichat was not correct. Reinstalled with the correct prefix solved the problem. Thanks for your support.
