I installed FreiChat and it works fine on FF and Chrome, but users with IE 8 & 9 is raising a JS exception.

Changed the file freichat.js at line 493
{xhash:freidefines.xhash,id:freidefines.GEN.getid,},function(data){window[obj].room_array=data.rooms;window
to
{xhash:freidefines.xhash,id:freidefines.GEN.getid},function(data){window[obj].room_array=data.rooms;window

and the error changes to JSON is undefined on line 47.

Make sure you're actually in IE 8 mode

by using the standards doctype

<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EDGE">

i added the tag , the chat user list is ok.
But now when i send a message there is another JS exception

-I tested with a fresh install of XP with IE8 and with all versions of apache and php
and the error still remain.

Just a typo...the correct is IE 7 & 8 not 8 & 9.

Anyone with a working chat on IE8?
