Okay, now I already have my forum running but I thought it would be a good idea to have a local test forum for when I want to check my code changes if I get time to do them of course.

So this is the error I get and I have increased memory buffers and also included timeout adjustments as Adesh has suggested elsewhere.

I can not seem to remove this image without screwing up the whole webpage.

I find the code fine:

Thanks to @James7 I have changed the display name to show the display name and not the user name, However.

When it comes to tagging a user with a double barrel username i.e. Big Bobby, you have to have an underscore in the username for tagging to work i.e. Big_Bobby.

What I would like to be able to do is to change the tagging list to show the display name and not the username and therefore have the tagging function as if it was the username.

Any ideas on how to achieve this?

@adesh1414127033 message notifications not being displayed when user logs on or when user is online. Is there a way of having this included in the notifications bell or on profile box please.

On my forum no ones logins are remembered from session to session. Is this a bug, a feature or something I've not set up properly?

I have installed FC on my site www.ta-rs.de but since I changed the Theme it is not showing anymore. I have the module on an active position and also see Freichat code on the page source when I check with Chrome. I also tried disabeling/enabeling GZIP and AJAX problem switch, but nothing happens. @adesh1414127033 Is it possible to adjust the time delay on new posts/replies to to a longer time as once the bell is selected and eg a post is looked at, the notifications on the remaining unlooked at posts disappear. If that could be looked at as well as when on a mobile phone, there is no bell and the unhighlighted new posts disappear from that page.

Revision to request as best solution
Perhaps the best way forward would be that until a post is selected on the bell/notification, it stays highlighted until either it is selected or the user clicks on the mask as read button.

Where is the file index.php as I cannot see it in the theme folder?

If it is in the root directory, then I cannot see the head tag in the index.php file.

@adesh1414127033 i have noticed that when a new topic is created that there is an asterisk or star next to the edit dots on the right.

This is great but what would be a huge improvement would be to have that asterisk or star appear when there is a reply to that that topic. It would highlight that there is a new reply or post within that topic when users look down the topics.

Hi, i have changed the constant file to enable search engine friendly url by changing the 0 to 1. And i already had the access file on my server so i didn't do anything else. Am i right in thinking that it should be working properly already? All i've actually done is changed the 0 to a 1 and that's it.

It is not possible to log out. The link doesn't work. You have to delete the cookie/cache.

@adesh1414127033 not to take you away from more serious matters demanding your attention but I have tried to upload animated avatars to the profiles but when the profile or the post with the avatar is viewed, nothing is animated. Is there a restriction on animations? or is there a particular way of doing it?

@adesh1414127033 Further to my other post for obtaining a password for this forum, I have had the same issue on my forum.

The issue is that when a user requests a new password, the site freezes, does not send out an email (other notification emails work okay).

The user has used Firefox, Chrome and Safari.

I believe this relates to the same bug when I needed a password for here.

This is a major error as users need to be able to access the forum without having to send admin emails to help.
