We have had several users have trouble typing on Freichat. They can log in, and see the conversation, but cannot type. I have the paid full version, and these all seem too be newer iPhone phones. Latest ones with problems typing in the chat had iPhone 12 Pro Max and an iPhone 12 XS Max. What's the solution? Help! @admin @adesh

as a premium user with a paid full version of FreiChat I think its worth to also make use of the "Email-Support".


Write a Email to: support@codologic.com


It rarely happens, but sometimes a topic is overlooked here in the forum (very rarely) - so making use of both support systems is maybe a bit better.

Normally they always answer very quickly, but it's only a small two-man team, could be that maybe someone is sick or has a family matter to clear up?

I have asked them all to download and use Moxilla Firefox or Google Chrome. The issue is still happening. I have yet to receive an answer to my email.

Sorry saw the mail but didn't get time to take a deeper look into the issue.


On the surface it works when we tried with some of our iphones we tested with.

Freichat has quit working at all now; Since Saturday we have had no chat icon, nor does the page created for a full page chat work. PLEASE @admin @adesh PLEASE HELP! I have a ticket also open, but have received no answers on it!

As far as the iPhone problems go, one of the problems I have found was that the attached photos show the blue chat icon covering up the “send” button. Also, the list of chats stays above the chat that they are in, and when they manage to say something, the list scrolls up to the top of the list of chats, rather than stay in the chat that they are in.
Also, is it possible to have administrative rights to get into ANY chat? That would certainly be handy.

I think this is not legally possible - most of the people in the world have to live with new privacy laws like GDPR, DSGVO etc. so such setting to enter every chat as admin would violate people's privacy - but our @admin for sure can tell you a little bit more about it.

Because of the blue chat icon covering the message "send button":


You can try to open the theme.less of the theme which you make use of with a Code Editor like Notepad++ and write to the very bottom of the file:


.FreiChatContainer .FreiChatLauncher {
bottom: 40px;
}

Then save and reupload the edited theme.less file, recache the browser and then the Blue Chat Button will be 30px on top of the Send Button.

Thank you @WebCrew for the explanation. We have also already replied on email a similar reason as to why we cannot provide such a feature.
