I installed correctly freichat and display module for joomla, chat works well, but the first access to the site is not visible, then if user log in and log out in the site the chat turn visible until I restart the pc, when i restart the pc to review the chat I have to redo user log in and log out in the site.

what could be the problem?

After your first access , have you tried reloading the page ? Please check if it loads after you reload the page .

Also Have you disabled the chat for guests ?

yes i have reload the page after first connection to site after first user login but the chat is not visible, the only method to view the chat is login an logout and it appears and work correctly untill i reboot the pc, all users have this problem and with all browser

I have also view the firefox console for error when the chat is not visible but the only message for chat is "FreiChatX script initiated"


I set:

Disable FreiChat for guests ? No

and

Who should be on the online users list Only registered Users

Can you provide us with a test account , we would like to see what is causing your problem ?

go to your database using phpmyadmin
Then run the following query

UPDATE  `frei_config` SET  `val` =  'disabled' WHERE  `frei_config`.`key` ='cache';

We logged in your website , and the chat is working , we did not find any problems .

I tried but at first access the chat never appears, always and only after log in and log out.

I read in another post of file .htaccess in the folder freichat, I checked but there isn't, could be the problem?

We saw that you are using an old version of FreiChat (V8.6.1)

Can you please try installing the latest version i.e FreiChat V8.7.2 ?

ok no problem, I can install directly new version? or I have to uninstall the old version before?

Delete or rename the old freichat folder and install the new one .

You can skip the last step of installation as it is already done .

one more think, in this version i can't edit or delete chat rooms in beckend, you can help me?

This is the errors give from firefox console:

and in ACL I change the flags and press "modify" but the changes is not salved

For the ACL , i guess this problem occurs only for the private chat option because we had found a bug which will be solved in the next version .
If you want you can solve it right now as it is a very small change .

As for the chatroom problem , We tested in our localhost and we did not find any issues.
Try it with chrome browser once , if that does not work , provide us with the url to the freichat backend + its password . We will check it .

For ACL what is the change I have to do?

for chatroom i send you a pm with the url to the freichat backend + its password

For chatrooms I tried with google crome and it works, just had to be a problem with firefox
