Can i install Friechat as a agent running on end user desktop ? something like gtalk.. ? Is it available in commercial version ?

It works very well with browser however alert of new message is not know till they are on the browser page..

I have integrated free version of freichat (9.3) with Dolibarr ERP system (dolibarr.org). when I open two different browsers on the webserver (win2008+xampp) pc and login with two different usernames, everything is OK. But if I connect to webserver from another computer I cannot even see the chat popup windows!

I change this line

$dsn='mysql:host=localhost;dbname=dolibarr'; //DSN

to this

$dsn='mysql:host=my_server_ip_address;dbname=dolibarr'; //DSN

in the hardcoded.php, but nothing changed.

Why freichat does not load?

I wanted to use freichat but only with a group of friends instead of everyone connected
so i checked out in the admin page. I looked an option called
Who should be on the online users list.
And it has an option to see only to your buddies
But the problem is: how can i make an user a buddie of my?
Please i'll be glad if you can answer my question.

I am trying to using video chat feature of Freichat on Joomla 2.5.11+ Jomsocial 2.6.1 on Ubuntu linux 12.04.2 LTS (as Joomla server). The chat works good but when I try to start video chat in Chrome (ver 28), I get " waiting to get access to camera and microphone" and nothing happens. I tried different laptops ( both Win7 and MacOS) with chrome and firefox (ver 22) and still cannot have video chat. should I open any port on ubuntu server or anything else?

when i try to install freichat i go to my browser and type that : http://mysite.com/freichat/ but i get this error message :

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@mysite.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I just moved my project to the hosting.

I had problem moving it because of PDO.
there was no PDO installed so I asked my hosted and they've installed PDO.
They've installed it and I activated it with php.ini in my freichat, administrator and client
extension=php_pdo.dll
extension=php_pdo_mysql.dll

Now php shows me PDO installed and I cound been able to login administrator.
but soon shared hosting server blocks me, support says I have too much requests.

I deleted all my files and made fresh install with new version. Unfortionatly it does the same

Is this some common mistake? excepts for PDO is there some module it needs to be installed?
Do you need some more information from my phpinfo?

PS. From logs I think /freichat/server/freichat.php is the most requested file as it has 1161 where /freichat/client/main.php has 73

Hello. I just bought the new v9.0 freichat with cam support and I must say I am quite impressed, it works great. My question is this, I am using a laptop and I have an external camera plugged into it plus it has a built in cam. I want to use the built in cam and I want to use the mic thats built into my external camera. Is there a way to setup default devices with this cam chat?

Hello. I just updated my freichat from 8.6 to 8.7 and now all it says is "Getting list of online users ....." then when I refresh the browser the chat wont even load. I double checked the settings and everything seems fine.

I did a fresh install and same thing.

Can someone tell me what might be wrong?

I installed correctly freichat and display module for joomla, chat works well, but the first access to the site is not visible, then if user log in and log out in the site the chat turn visible until I restart the pc, when i restart the pc to review the chat I have to redo user log in and log out in the site.

I got a menu page with a lot of icons render by using links and images. HTML code:

After I open a chatbox, there is an invisible frame preventing me from clicking certain links behind.
It is like the chatbox frame is at top most and invisible.

I believe this is only CSS issue. The icon to toggle Available, Refresh and Sound (on/off) is not showing in IE only (IE tested are IE 8,9,10). It's fine in FF and Chrome. Icons to send file, smileys are showing correctly.
Another thing to take note is style.css in basic theme folder, the css (line 11)

Padding will overwrite my Gridview's style. I've disabled this and other controls with table attribute are showing correctly.

My system is running on ASP.NET. I've installed freichat and able to run it on every* page by injecting the script to Master Page via code behind (since version 8.2).
It runs perfectly with mysql membership and avatars.

The major problem is when I browse the pages with jQuery 2.0, the controls broke and freichat doesn't show. I use jQuery for my tabs, calendars.
I tried to enable the option 'Remove Jquery Conflicts' but still same. I tried to resolve the conflict in my asp.net page but no luck as well.

Those pages without jQuery is working fine.

This happened since I use jQuery 1.8 and below, none of the controls work.

If I insist to use freichat, one way I can do is manually put the script at the pages I want, but I got a lot of pages and this is not a practical way to do.

Anyway I can solve this?

since I installed the 8.6 freichat have problems displaying a site form slideshow ... if I disable the chat back to work ...

in the backend (administration) is the locale hardcoded, why do you not make locale that can be change for the administration too?

Is it possible at all to minimize/maximize the chat by just clicking on the chat bar instead of the square/line icon? This would make it a lot better for users that have Tablets with big fingers.
