I downloaded the latest software in free version 7.6.
I am having problems with integrating my login database to the freichat.

I followed the steps which was shown in the How to? tab, Custom Install Video.

I have my code mirrored like what youve discussed in "Custom Install", now I am wondering what went wrong because I'm having this error "Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token

BTW, i am running my server via localhost.

hi all im having a problem with freichat getting user names. I use eqdkp plus cms and phpbb3 I have my cms bridged to use my phpbb3 user databasae and that works fine but i can not get freichat 7.6 to use it. i have tried to use the interagation but my database table and database user are not standard i have for example somename_phpbb wich forces me to enter manualy and i have tried using the custom way as well. if any one has any idear on how i can resolve this it would be great thanks

Is there a way to have Freichat utilize Simple:Press's avatar system instead of WordPress's default?

First of all, let me congratulate you for this great project. I have been successfully using an older, heavily modified (by myself) version of FreiChat on my social networking website for more than 1 year now.

Problem is, my website is kind of big and, although I have multiple dedicated servers to support it, I would prefer to reduce server load somehow. Currently, at peak hours, there are over 1000 online users at the same time. Each uses an instance of Frei Chat that only shows up his own friend list, of course. Sometimes there are delays between page load and chat load.

Now, my plan is to somehow switch to a system using full push (instead of ajax polling). What are your plans in the future regarding push features (and regarding other features as well)? Do you estimate the performance improvement in version 7.6 (using Comet long polling) will be big enough to be worth switching to 7.6, or should I wait for the next version? (I think I am using a version 4.* now)

It would be nice if we could see the upcoming features somewhere and maybe a rough time estimate for them.

I have a problem since yesterday with freichet. It worked well and then I received a message from my hosting provider (hoster planet) who said:
This is a message to alert you that the script / home / reallyou / public_html / freichat / server / freichat.php tries to run loop making your accommodation inaccessible. We recommend that you check the installed plugins and modules.

We have temporarily disabled the script / home / reallyou / public_html / freichat / server / freichat.php (CHMOD 000) to ensure that your accommodation is inaccessible. To reactivate it, it would suffice to replace the CHMOD this file to 644.

I handed the file permission to 644 but now no longer works and freichat restesur the window position: Initializing ...

I installed with the custom option. MySQL PDO.
Configured to display:
Show Guests or Resgistered Users - Guests

No users is displayed online and also appears no room to access.

The message is displaed:
Please LogIn to chat!

Hi guys, I´m having some issues to install the chat in my elgg site, when I have the last thing to do in the installation (the last page that says manual install) I don´t know what to do with the code that shows, since the path that it shows is not correct, even if I can go to the header.php file, I cannot find the tag that I´m supposed to modify.

when I put the plugin in YES, the site starts showing the chat for a while, but after that I´m receiving:

Fatal Error.

Elgg couldn't connect to the database using the given credentials. Check the settings file.

I checked the settings and the user and database names (and paswords) are correct.

any clue? is this caused because I cannot add the code into the header.php?

As it says, i updated the chat to 7.2 on my site (Joomla), It worked yesterday after installation, but for some reason the chat has completely disappeared from the site, although everything is still installed.

Edit:

It seems one of my admins decided to go messing around in the themes and broke it! Replaced the "Basic" theme that was on our site with a backup i had on my system.

In set up there's the ability to show:

Guests
Registered (this is actually spelled incorrectly)
Buddies

How do we show "All"? Is this possible? Thanks.

i have installed freichat v6.3 on my wampserver its custom installation.
installation was done properly.
i have seen the total installation process via video for custom installation.
the problem is that whenever i login into the page chatbox doesnt appear.
i have seen freilog file too no error is shown it.
can u please help me with this??
